For each pump system there is a brief explanation of its operation and possible applications. As a completely independent repair and overhaul company, we provide service to all pump systems. Also pumps that are not specifically mentioned. The applications of pumps are also so extensive that it is almost impossible to name them.
Classification of pump systems according to specifications
Pump systems can be classified according to the following specifications:
- Pump size
From very small to extremely large pumps; - Pumping capacity
This can vary from cubic centimeters to a significant number of cubic meters per hour; - Pumping pressure
This can vary from near absolute vacuum (0 kPa) to pumps suitable for pressures of more than 1 - Pumping medium
These can be very thick, heavy liquid products up to gases; - Pumping temperature
This also allows wide variations to be achieved, from pumps that pump liquids well below freezing point to temperatures above 250˚C - Pumping material
Here the possibilities and combinations are virtually unlimited: from cast iron to high-quality stainless steel types for the pump parts. This includes the various materials and combinations of so-called mechanical shaft seals, which vary from standard rubber to specially manufactured types of rubber and plastics. The seals range from a carbon ring to a tungsten carbide ring.
